Are you a Thought Reader?
I am an avid reader. Truth be told, I buy 2-3 books a week and I read every morning when I wake up, and every night before I go to bed.
My private coaching clients receive books and book suggestions from me on a regular basis because I believe the more you know, the more you grow.
Recently, a client asked me if I’d consider hosting a business book club because she loves all of my book recommendations. She said “I’d love it if you sent me the books in the mail, and then lead some type of discussion around each book.” Then she said “I’ll sign up right now if you’ll do it.”
That was in June.
Fast forward to today, and I thought…. Why not? I love reading, leading and teaching.
Why not bring a group of people together for a year who are interested in learning and discussing what they learn in a private community. One book a month for an entire year.
That’s where the idea for Thought Reader came from.
So here’s how it works…
You become a member for the year. The cost is $1,000 CDN annually or $89/month.
I ship you books 3-4 times a year, and I provide you with a prescribed reading schedule and then, you, me and the other thought leaders participate in an ongoing weekly discussion about what we are learning as we read each book.
The focus of the book selection would be business and personal development. There is no book list for you to review here because… I want to pick books that are on the market now, and books that will be published in the future.
We started back in December 2017, and have read books like High Performance Habits, Tribe of Mentors, The Go-Giver Influencer, Principles, and many more.
Sound like fun?
“The Thought Readers program is a wonderful community of learning. I've always been a reader, however, this program gives me the structure and accountability to get the books read and to share my insights with other participants. The live video, discussions in our Facebook group, participation of the authors and sharings with others make it an awesome experience. The growth and take aways are big. I love this community and feel at home there. Thank you Lisa for providing this platform for us.”

“When I walk through the bookstore (one of my favourite places to go), I look lovingly at the business books that I know I “should” read and justify that I don’t read them because I don’t have time. When Lisa started Thought Readers, I knew I had to join. I knew that I needed to force myself to look at my business through someone else’s eyes, and I’m happy to say I’ve done just that! I have new ideas, new paradigms, new approaches to the business I’ve had for 25 years. I feel excited to read my book daily, and magically I find the time! The group discussions are helpful, the key ideas that are received by everyone are different which again causes me to rethink what I’m doing and why I am doing it. I love Thought Readers. I love the books we read, the ideas we share, and the facilitation of discussion by Lisa.”

“This isn't your standard business book club! Lisa does an excellent job curating the books, leading discussions and engaging with members - in the Facebook Group and during the monthly calls. Her reading guide allows you to plan accordingly and maximize your time with each book. I look forward to hearing Lisa's thoughts about the books as much as I enjoy hearing the thoughts of other members. I have learned many practical and actionable points about my business from the books and subsequent discussions.”

Benefits include becoming smarter, building relationships with other people, a renewed sense of energy and purpose from all you take in.
Not to mention the perspective you’ll gain from the community’s take on each book.
While I can’t make any promises, I will personally reach out to each author after their book has been chosen and do my best to invite them in to chat with us in a webinar format if they are agreeable.
