Masterminding Sessions What Should You Expect

Masterminding Sessions – What Should You Expect?

Have you ever thought about participating in masterminding sessions but weren’t too sure what to expect? I’ve been hosting masterminding sessions for a few years now and they are one of my favorite things to do!

If you’ve read the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, he talks about the power of masterminding. He calls masterminding and being around like-minded people the third brain.

When you are with someone else and you talk about ideas that you have for your business, something greater than the two of you comes into play. Your thinking collides with someone else’s thinking creating another presence that brings new thoughts and ideas to the table.

I really believe in that.

Often when you’re sitting alone trying to find a solution to a problem nothing comes clear. But, as soon as you talk to someone else about it, all of a sudden, something really awesome shows up for you.

What I love about masterminding sessions is that people come together and achieve really powerful things for their business.

There are lots of masterminds out there. Some last one-day, others might be up to a year. I facilitate a group business-coaching program but I also facilitate what I call A Day of Masterminding.

When I bring a group of people together for a day of masterminding the maximum number of participants are usually 8. On those days, I give everyone an equal amount of time at the table to talk about their business.

Essentially, what happens is that you come to the table to talk about what’s going on in your business, and what you need help with, in your business. The solutions flow not just from me as the facilitator, but from the whole group – everyone shares their insights and their experience with you.

Are you thinking, “Gee, I only get one turn? I don’t want to go for a whole day if I only get one turn.”

The beautiful thing is, that people end up feeling like every turn was their turn because they can relate so well to the challenges that other people are having in their businesses. The solutions and ideas that come forward for everyone else in the room, end being beneficial to them too.

When you work with someone who really understands the concept of masterminding sessions and how to create a sacred space where people can share ideas and support each other in a confidential way – it’s incredible! People overcome some of the things that are holding them back from business success.

Personal lives and business lives intersect today. Sometimes it’s personal stuff that’s getting in the way of your business life, and sometimes it’s just all business stuff. Either way, it’s good because if you need to work on something personally in order to have a breakthrough in your business, then that is what’s going to happen.

People often leave masterminding sessions saying, “That is NOT what I expected to talk about today.” But they do because the other people shared things that brought up for them that they didn’t even realize they needed to address.

People walk away from masterminding sessions with what they need.

Leave a comment and let me know what you think of masterminding sessions – have you ever participated in one, was it what you thought it would be? Would you do it again?
