Has this ever happened to you?
You log onto Facebook with the intention of doing some work for your business and the next thing you know you are watching TED Talks, looking at someone else’s photos and commenting on things that have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with business?
This used to happen to me until I took back CONTROL of what I see.
Create Interest Lists and categorize the people who matter to you so you never miss an update.
Let’s talk about Christine Tripp.
She is someone I have known for years and she has gone through The Pilot Project, The Content Project and has even participated in a Day of Mastermind with me. She is a huge advocate of my work and someone I really like.
I don’t want to miss any opportunity to support her or engage with her.
Step One:
Add her PROFILE to an Interest List
Step Two:
Either create a new list or add her to an existing list. I have a list created (it is private so it can only be viewed by me) for all of my clients. That is the list I want her to be part of.
Step Three:
Add her BUSINESS page to my interest list too! You might be wondering why I would not just categorize her under “friends.” This is why. By using an interest list, I can monitor her profile and her page in one spot. This makes it super easy for me to engage and see what she is up to.
Step Four:
Go find your interest list and see what people are up to! You can find them at the bottom of your home page on the left hand side.
Step Five:
Click on the interest list. Your newsfeed will be filled with updates from people you do business with. We all know that it’s easier to do business with people you have already done business with yet we often FORGET to pay attention to those people. This makes it easy for you to engage with them personally and see what they are doing professionally all in one spot.
Step Six:
Create your own set of lists. Maybe you want a list for family, prospects, clients, pages you like and want to make sure you follow. The lists are endless and it does take a bit of time to set up, but I promise you – making sure I FOCUS time on my clients is a huge priority for me. This is ONE simple, easy way for me to keep connected to them.
It’s as easy as that. These 6 simple steps will help you keep an eye on your clients so you never miss out on engaging with them! If you want to learn even more tips about social media, I have a video for you today where I talk about how to leverage social media to get more bums in seats at your events.
Don’t forget about our upcoming webinar. I am on a mission to teach as many people as I can how to really amplify the results in their business. I want YOU to take it to the next level. Join me on March 19th, claim your spot here -> Learn more
