A few weeks ago, someone I was unfamiliar with reached out to me. They wanted to discuss how I might be able to help them use AI in their business to help them grow. Because I was unfamiliar with the company, I wanted to prepare for our conversation in the shortest time possible and to know as much as I could.
I took the email they sent me, plus their website URL and pasted it into ChatGPT along with a few specific questions I had and asked it to prepare a brief for me in preparation for the call.
It took AI seconds to do this, and the brief was excellent.
After my call, I took all of my notes (I didn’t record the call, or I would have used the transcript) and asked AI to help me draft a proposal for this client.
Again, in seconds, I had a working draft of the proposal.
AI can help you get smarter faster when prompted the right way. AI is not replacing humans, but humans need to learn how to use AI in their day-to-day work to keep up.
Speed is a competitive advantage. If you’re still doing this the slow old way, someone else is going to beat you to the end of the race, or to your next customer.
I fundamentally believe the most important skill that business owners (and people in general) can have today is AI literacy.
If you don’t know how to work with these tools and how to engage them as a thinking partner, a strategy accelerator, or a problem solver, you’re missing out.
A couple of things for you to consider….
1. I am hosting a free webinar on November 19th at 1 PM ET on the topic of AI-Driven Search. If your Google traffic is down, you’ll want to attend this. Search is changing, and that means, you need to change too. You can register here.
2. In December, I am hosting a free Marketing Meets AI intensive event. If you’d like to be part of it, email me at lisa@lisalarter.com and let me know. I’ll add your name to my list of interested attendees, so you know first.
3. Finally, if you’ve been waiting for the next cohort of AI-Driven Marketing Made Easy, we are getting ready to run a whole new up-leveled version of this program based on all of the great feedback we’ve received from our existing cohort starting the first week of January.
If you know you want to be part of this, let me know. I challenge you to make 2026 the year you embrace AI and use it to accelerate results in your business.
It’s not too late to learn, and you’re never too old.
