Q: If you work from home, should you use your home address on your Facebook Page or Profile?
A: My rule of thumb for this is do what you do on your website. If you show your home address on your website then the information is already out there. If you do not share this on your website and prefer to keep where you live private (like I do) then just use generality such as city, state, province and do not include street information or postal code. for more information on Facebook Privacy, take a look at the Facebook Privacy Webinar I did. It’s free!
Consider this too: if privacy is a concern. If you Google your website on Who.is you may also see your home address listed. I use an agency to register all my domains specifically so my home address does NOT show up.
