Ask Lisa – Is It ok to Tweet @ More Than One Person?

Q: Is it ok to Tweet to more than one person in the same Tweet? For instance, if I reply to a Tweet and want someone else to see it and include them, is that poor Social Media etiquette?

A: No, this isn’t poor etiquette at all. Doing this once is being inclusive of Twitter - Ask Lisaeveryone, but be careful of continuing the conversation with all the @’s. After a few messages, it may become annoying for the third person. I would suggest you include them in the initial Tweet and, if a conversation begins with the original party, you remove the @name of the third person from the rest of the Tweets.
