Q: How would someone use LinkedIn to look for a job?
A: When you go to LinkedIn, on the right hand side where the search bar is it say people. There is a drop down arrow on the word “people”. Select the down arrow and pick “Jobs”. Enter a keyword and press search.
This will take you to a page with a bunch of job listings and, on the left side, it will show you advanced search options where you can search by keyword, city, company, distance from where you are etc.
You can also use Social Networks like LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter to meet and interact with others in your industry. Meet up with those contacts at live networking events and see if they can help you get your foot in the door.
